The Korean sunscreen guide
Daily sunscreen is the foundation of Korean skincare. Korean sunscreens are loved for lightweight, moisturizing textures that wear comfortably every day, under makeup or on bare skin.
Why sunscreen matters
Sun exposure contributes to uneven tone, dark spots and visible signs of aging. Wearing sunscreen daily protects the results of everything else in your routine.
What to look for on a US label
- Broad Spectrum, meaning it protects against UVA and UVB.
- SPF 30 or higher for daily wear, as the American Academy of Dermatology recommends.
- Water resistant (40 or 80 minutes) if you will swim or sweat.
How to apply
- Apply as the last step of your morning routine.
- Use enough to cover your face and neck generously.
- Reapply at least every two hours outdoors, and after swimming or sweating.
